POULTNEY — Vermont State Police have filed additional charges against a Poultney man following an investigation into alleged domestic violence and sexual assault incidents.

Jason Seiple, 38, of Poultney, is now facing charges of sexual assault and aggravated domestic assault, according to state police.

The new charges stem from a follow-up investigation conducted by the Vermont State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation after Seiple’s recent arrest on an earlier aggravated domestic assault charge.

Investigators determined that Seiple allegedly committed additional acts constituting aggravated domestic assault and sexual assault against an adult victim in January 2024.

The identity of the victim is being withheld in accordance with Vermont State Police policy regarding victims of sexual assault and domestic violence.

State police did not release details about Seiple’s court appearance or custody status in connection with the new charges.
