MANLIUS — A minor traffic accident led to multiple felony charges for a 20-year-old Manlius man after police discovered drugs, weapons and stolen property in his possession.
Nicolai A. Pavlov was arrested Feb. 19 after Town of Manlius Police Department officers responded to a reported motor vehicle accident near Towne Drive Center around 3 p.m.
During their investigation, officers discovered Pavlov had allegedly committed a larceny at a nearby Target store just before the crash.
Police found Pavlov was operating his vehicle without a valid license and was in possession of what authorities described as “an extremely large quantity” of psilocybin mushrooms and marijuana.
Officers also discovered several illegal bladed weapons and personal identification documents belonging to other individuals.
Pavlov faces multiple charges including third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, both Class B felonies.
Additional charges include three counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, two counts of fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, unlicensed operator, and unauthorized parking in a handicapped space.
Pavlov was arraigned on the charges, though information about bail or his next court appearance was not immediately available.
