Cohoes police, Rensselaer sheriff seize drugs in early morning raid

COHOES — Members of the Cohoes Police Department and the Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Unit executed a search warrant at 99 Johnston Avenue at 6 a.m. Friday, March 14.

The search yielded 12.1 grams of cocaine, 6.9 grams of fentanyl, 17.2 grams of pressed Adderall, 3.1 grams of pressed oxycodone, $4,591 in U.S. currency, a scale and packaging materials.

Five individuals were arrested in connection with the investigation, including Keijon A. Williams, 28, of Cohoes, who faces charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and related offenses.

Nicholas S. Sapienza Sr., 36, Joshua D. Temple, 33, and Audrianna A. Jones, 34, all of Cohoes, were each charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the second degree and other drug-related offenses.

Heather L. Billingsley, 54, of Colonie, also faces multiple felony drug charges.

Temple is currently on Albany County Probation with an ankle monitoring device and is wanted by multiple police agencies on outstanding warrants.

Jones is wanted by North Greenbush Police Department for failure to appear on a petit larceny charge.

Sapienza is wanted by Waterford Police Department for failure to appear on a previous drug possession charge.

Billingsley is currently on New York State Parole stemming from a grand larceny arrest.

Cohoes Code Enforcement has shut down the second-floor apartment at 99 Johnston Avenue following the raid.

All suspects are being held pending arraignment in Cohoes City Court.
