WELLS — A Hamilton County man was arrested Wednesday after authorities discovered stolen items from the county highway department at his residence and other locations.
Darrin D. Damphier, 55, of Wells, was charged with petit larceny following an investigation by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.
The investigation began when the Hamilton County Department of Public Works reported multiple items missing from the highway department.
Officials later found the stolen items at Damphier’s home on Algonquin Drive, in a relative’s garage and in his vehicle.
Damphier was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Town of Lake Pleasant Court on April 9.
