PITTSFIELD — A Rutland man sustained minor injuries after his truck crashed into a retaining wall near the Village Green on Monday morning.
Troopers from the Vermont State Police Rutland Barracks responded to a single-vehicle crash on VT Route 100 at approximately 7:30 a.m. on March 10.
Maverick Gero, 26, was driving a 2014 GMC Sierra northbound when he failed to maintain his lane of travel, according to police.
The truck exited the roadway, traveled through a snowbank and collided with a retaining wall before coming to rest in an uncontrolled position on the road.
Gero was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and sustained suspected minor injuries.
He declined transport to a hospital.
The truck sustained substantial front-end damage.
The Pittsfield Fire Department and White River Valley Ambulance assisted state police at the scene.
A Vermont Civil Violation Complaint is pending.
