SOUTHEAST — A Southeast woman has been arrested following a lengthy investigation into internet child pornography, Putnam County Sheriff Kevin J. McConville announced.
In July, Sheriff’s Office investigators were alerted by the New York State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force of a cyber tip involving sexually explicit videos and images transmitted from a residence in Putnam County.
The investigation involved gathering computer forensic evidence through subpoenas.
On Feb. 18, a search warrant was executed at the residence of 32-year-old Danielle Sawicki.
Sawicki was interviewed and subsequently charged with three counts of promoting a sexual performance by a child under the age of seventeen, a class D felony.
She was arraigned in the Town of Southeast Court and was released on her own recognizance to return at a future court date.
