CLIFTON PARK — A suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of Market 32 in Clifton Park led to the early morning arrest of a Scotia man, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident occurred Tuesday at 2:33 a.m. when the Sheriff’s Office received a report of the vehicle.

Ricky G. Rickson, 54, was arrested after an investigation revealed he was allegedly in possession of a hallucinogenic substance weighing 1 gram or more.

Rickson faces charges including criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 4th and 7th degrees, unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle in the 3rd degree, and other related offenses.

He reportedly led law enforcement on a vehicle pursuit through southern Saratoga County, Glenville, and Schenectady.

The chase concluded when Rickson’s vehicle crashed on Summit Avenue in Schenectady.

During the pursuit, Rickson allegedly struck a marked Sheriff’s patrol unit, authorities said.

Rickson was arraigned before the Honorable Robert A. Rybak in the Clifton Park Town Court.

He has been remanded to the Saratoga County Jail pending further proceedings.
