BOSTON — Officers from the Boston Police Department’s District B-3, B-2, and E-18 drug control units arrested two Roxbury residents on Friday, Feb. 28, on drug and firearm-related charges.
The suspects, identified as Jonathan Alcantara-Garcia, 40, and Niurka Pimentel-Suero, 37, were apprehended following an extensive drug investigation by the B-3 Drug Control Unit.
Officers obtained search warrants for a residence located at 2 Guild Street, Roxbury.
Prior to executing these warrants, surveillance was established in the area.
During this surveillance, officers observed Alcantara-Garcia exiting the residence and driving away.
A traffic stop was conducted by B-2 officers, and Alcantara-Garcia was taken into custody without incident.
At approximately 10:11 a.m., officers executed a search warrant at the 2 Guild Street residence, where they were met by Pimentel-Suero.
The search resulted in the seizure of approximately 800 grams of cocaine, 129 grams of heroin, a loaded Smith & Wesson 9mm firearm, drug paraphernalia, and an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency.
Pimentel-Suero was charged with trafficking cocaine, trafficking heroin/morphine/fentanyl, unlawful possession of a firearm, and unlawful possession of ammunition.
Alcantara-Garcia faced similar charges, including trafficking cocaine, trafficking heroin/morphine/fentanyl, unlawful possession of a firearm, and unlawful possession of ammunition.
Both suspects are expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
