WEST HAVEN — Members of the West Haven Police Department’s Street Crime Unit conducted undercover patrols on Feb. 28 along South Street, observing suspected drug activity involving a black Nissan Maxima.
West Haven patrol units responded and initiated a motor vehicle stop of the Nissan.
During the investigation, K9 Hanny detected the odor of narcotics from the vehicle.
Officers searched the Nissan and discovered 11.5 grams of suspected crack cocaine, approximately $1,150 in street value, and 494 white wax folds containing fentanyl valued at roughly $4,940.
Additionally, miscellaneous drug paraphernalia and $156 in U.S. currency were found.
Bianca Daniels, born Oct. 13, 1981, of New Haven, was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance and two counts of possession with intent to sell narcotics.
She was also charged with the operation of a drug factory and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Daniels is being held on bond.
