PANTON — A pickup truck slid off an icy road in Panton Friday morning, striking a telephone pole and causing a temporary closure of VT Route 22A.
The incident occurred near East Road when Eduardo Loyola, 51, of South Burlington, lost control of his 2024 Chevy Silverado.
The front-passenger’s side of the vehicle sustained contact damage, but Loyola, who was wearing a seat belt, reported no injuries.
Vermont State Police responded to the scene at approximately 7:54 a.m., temporarily closing the road for about 30 minutes.
The Vergennes Fire Department and Vergennes Area Rescue Squad also attended the scene.
