CANTON — Arthur Webb was arrested Feb. 25 after deputies found him riding a stolen snowmobile.
The snowmobile had been reported stolen from Char’s Bar in the Town of Canton.
Webb attempted to escape from deputies, driving the snowmobile into a field where it became stuck in a swamp.
Deputies pursued him on foot through three feet of snow before apprehending him.
Webb has been charged with criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth degree.
