MILO — Police responded to a fight involving several students at Penquis Valley High School at approximately 11:47 a.m. today.

According to the Milo Police Department, no stabbing took place and no weapons were used.

Police clarified that when the initial call was made to 911, dispatchers misheard the caller saying “staff was involved” as “stabbing involved,” due to background noise.

Authorities reported a few minor injuries, and several individuals were transported to an area hospital for treatment.

The Maine Warden Service assisted local law enforcement at the scene.

Emergency medical treatment was provided by Three Rivers Ambulance, Milo Fire Department, Brownville Fire Department and NL Mayo Ambulance.
