DOVER — Chief William Breault of the Dover Police Department announced an arrest stemming from a drug investigation.
On Feb. 26, Dover Police detectives, in collaboration with the Portsmouth and Somersworth Police Departments, arrested 52-year-old Michael Duvall, a resident of the Downtown Dover Inn at 481 Central Avenue.
The arrest followed an ongoing investigation into suspected narcotics distribution from Duvall’s hotel room.
Detectives obtained a court-authorized search warrant for Duvall’s room, leading to the seizure of approximately 200 grams of cocaine, 100 grams of fentanyl, 170 grams of methamphetamine, 100 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, psilocybin-infused candies, a large quantity of marijuana, brass knuckles, and a handgun.
Duvall had an active arrest warrant from the Dover Police Department for three counts of possession of a controlled drug related to an incident in August.
Duvall faces felony charges, including two counts of felon in possession of a deadly weapon, possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute, falsifying physical evidence, and three counts of possession of a controlled drug.
He was taken into custody and held in preventative detention at the Strafford County House of Corrections.
On Feb. 27, he was arraigned at the 7th Circuit Court – District Division – Dover, where the judge ordered that he remain in preventative detention.
