CORTLAND — A Homer woman was arrested on February 16 in Cortland following an alleged assault involving a weapon.

Dorothy G. Parkin, 62, was taken into custody by officers from the Homer Police Department at approximately 3:39 a.m. at 134 Homer Ave.

Authorities acted on an arrest warrant issued by the Town of Homer Court, charging Parkin with assault in the 2nd degree, a D felony, and criminal possession of a weapon in the 4th degree, an A misdemeanor.

The charges were related to an incident on February 15, in the village of Homer, where Parkin allegedly assaulted a victim with a knife, resulting in a minor injury.
