PERRYSBURG — Matthew Johnston, 66, of Perrysburg, was arrested in the early hours of Feb. 28 for criminal possession of a controlled substance following a traffic stop.
The stop occurred at 12:47 a.m. on Indian Hill Road in the Town of Perrysburg.
Johnston was also cited for having an uninspected motor vehicle and inadequate license plate lamps.
After consenting to a K9 check, the sheriff’s office’s K9 Lex alerted deputies to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle.
A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed a felony amount of crack cocaine.
Johnston was released on an appearance ticket and will appear in court at a later date.
