BELLINGHAM — Bellingham police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred shortly before 4 a.m. Thursday near the intersection of Pulaski Boulevard and South Main Street.
Residents reported hearing gunshots, prompting officers to respond to the area. An initial search yielded no findings.
At approximately 9 a.m., a resident at 25/27 Muron Ave reported bullet holes in the front of their home. Police confirmed that both the residence and a vehicle had been struck multiple times, though no injuries were reported.
Bellingham Police, in collaboration with the Massachusetts State Police Crime Scene Services, documented the scene and collected evidence. The METRO-LEC K9 Unit assisted in the investigation.
While on scene, officers encountered Angel Pascual, 50, a resident of the home, who was taken into custody on an active arrest warrant unrelated to the shooting.
Upon obtaining a search warrant, officers discovered two unlawfully possessed handguns, high-capacity magazines, several rounds of ammunition, and a “Glock switch,” which converts a handgun into a fully automatic weapon.
Pascual is expected to be arraigned today in Milford District Court on multiple firearm-related charges, including possession of a large-capacity firearm, possession of a large-capacity feeding device, improper storage of a firearm near a minor, possession of ammunition, and possession of a machine gun.
Investigators believe the shooting was a targeted incident and none of the recovered firearms were used in the shooting.
Police are seeking additional information about a sedan seen fleeing the area around 3:45 a.m. toward Wrentham Street.
The investigation is ongoing.
