Queens man arrested in Nassau County on sex trafficking charges

NASSAU COUNTY — A Queens man has been arrested on sex trafficking charges following an investigation into prostitution at various locations in Nassau County, police said.

Jorge J. Ramos, 55, of Astoria, was taken into custody without incident after detectives from the Narcotics/Vice Squad conducted an investigation from July 2024 to February.

Authorities said Ramos is an undocumented immigrant, a determination made in collaboration with Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the FBI Human Trafficking Task Force.

Ramos is charged with sex trafficking, second-degree promoting prostitution, and third-degree promoting prostitution.
