PROVIDENCE — Troopers from the Rhode Island State Police-Lincoln Woods Barracks arrested multiple individuals Wednesday following motor vehicle stops and investigations in Providence, Central Falls and Warwick.
At 10:39 a.m., troopers arrested Theodore Moore, 37, of 30 Hawthorne St., Apt. 3, Providence, on an affidavit and arrest warrant for domestic simple assault and domestic vandalism, charges originating from the Providence Police Department.
The arrest followed a motor vehicle stop on Branch Avenue in Providence.
Moore was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed and later turned over to the Providence Police Department.
At 2:30 p.m., troopers arrested Edison Colon Torres, 40, of 163 Robinson Ave., Apt. 1, Pawtucket, for possession of a Schedule I-V controlled substance — 10 grams or less (cocaine).
He was also wanted on two Sixth District Court bench warrants for failure to appear for arraignment on charges of driving with a suspended license, originating from the Lincoln Woods Barracks and the Pawtucket Police Department.
The arrest followed a motor vehicle stop on Sorrento Street in Providence.
Colon Torres was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks for processing, arraigned by a justice of the peace and taken to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake Center.
At 5:57 p.m., troopers arrested Kiana Torres, 21, of 116 Earle St., Central Falls, on charges of leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident with damage to an attended vehicle and obstruction of a police officer in execution of duty.
The arrest followed an investigation into a motor vehicle accident on Route 95 north in Providence.
Troopers later responded to her residence in Central Falls, where she was taken into custody.
Torres was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed, arraigned by a justice of the peace and released.
At 7:17 p.m., troopers arrested Nazariah Genereux, 20, of 42 Hicks St., Pawtucket, on an affidavit and arrest warrant for domestic simple assault and domestic disorderly conduct, originating from the East Providence Police Department.
She was also wanted on an affidavit and arrest warrant for obstructing an officer in execution of duty, originating from the Pawtucket Police Department.
The arrest followed troopers responding to a car fire on Route 95 in Warwick.
Genereux was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed and later turned over to the Pawtucket Police Department.
