GEORGIA — Vermont State Police responded to multiple crashes on Interstate 89 southbound the morning of Feb. 27, causing traffic delays and injuries.
The first crash occurred at mile marker 108 at 7:35 a.m., involving six vehicles.
Three people were injured and taken by EMS to Northwestern Medical Center.
A second crash took place at mile marker 109.2, where a commercial motor vehicle was involved.
The crash caused traffic to back up near the southbound rest area.
The interstate was fully reopened by 11:30 a.m.
Police said both crashes remain under investigation.
