BOSTON — Police arrested two men and seized drugs, cash, and a firearm Wednesday morning following a search warrant execution at 51 Norton St. in Dorchester.

Officers from the District C-11 (Dorchester) and District B-2 (Roxbury) Drug Control Units conducted the operation at approximately 10:24 a.m.

Julian Niles, 34, of Stone Mountain, Georgia, and Daeshawn Jackson, 21, of Boston, were taken into custody on drug and firearm-related charges.

Before executing the search warrant, officers conducted surveillance of the residence.

Jackson was observed entering and exiting the building multiple times.

Niles arrived on an electric scooter and went inside the premises.

Officers suspected Niles was distributing narcotics in the area based on prior intelligence and investigative findings.

Both men were detained on Norton Street after officers observed them walking together toward Richfield Street.

Jackson was found with a substance believed to be fentanyl.

Niles was carrying cash and two packages of suspected crack cocaine.

A search of Niles revealed additional fentanyl and crack cocaine.

Inside 51 Norton St., officers recovered a Sig Sauer P365 semi-automatic pistol loaded with 11 rounds in a high-capacity magazine, 10 additional rounds of ammunition, blue pills and a tan powder substance suspected to be fentanyl, a large bag of suspected crack cocaine, three smaller bags of crack cocaine, and drug paraphernalia.

Jackson faces multiple charges, including unlawful possession of a large-capacity firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, unlawful possession of a large-capacity feeding device, improper storage of a firearm, trafficking crack cocaine, possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, and receiving stolen property.

Niles is charged with possession with intent to distribute fentanyl and crack cocaine.

Both suspects are expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
