SOUTH WINDSOR — Police arrested two men Tuesday in separate incidents involving larceny and domestic violence, authorities said.
Zachary M. Eavens, 36, of New Milford was taken into custody at 6:10 a.m. on an active arrest warrant in connection with a June 2024 theft at Target on Buckland Hills Drive, police said.
Eavens was identified as the suspect in the theft of about $1,118.41 in merchandise, police said.
He turned himself in at police headquarters, was processed and held on a $10,000 surety bond, authorities said.
Eavens appeared in Manchester Superior Court on Tuesday at 9 a.m., police said.
In a separate incident, officers arrested Paul R. Thompson, 38, of South Windsor at 4:56 p.m. after he allegedly threatened to kill the victim and aggressively grabbed onto him during a domestic dispute, police said.
Thompson also took a phone from the victim’s hand as he attempted to call 911, authorities said.
Thompson was processed and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond, police said.
He is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on Wednesday at 9 a.m., authorities said.
