SALAMANCA — Salamanca police issued multiple traffic tickets and took several individuals into custody on outstanding warrants and new charges over the weekend, according to police reports.
On Feb. 23, police issued six Universal traffic tickets to motorists in the city.
Officers also arrested Andrew Grienert, 34, of Hinsdale, on a felony bench warrant from the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.
Grienert was processed and transferred to sheriff’s deputies.
On Feb. 24, police issued six additional traffic tickets and responded to a hit-and-run crash on Main Street.
The unoccupied vehicle sustained property damage.
Officers located the vehicle, and information was exchanged for insurance purposes.
During a traffic stop, officers arrested Stacy Spencer, 35, of Olean, on a felony bench warrant from the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.
Spencer also had a bench warrant from Olean City Court and was charged with criminal possession of drug paraphernalia.
Another passenger, Jacinda Terwilliger, 25, of Olean, was arrested and charged with criminal possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal impersonation after allegedly providing several false names.
Terwilliger had a valid bench warrant from Olean City Court.
Both individuals were processed and issued appearance tickets for Salamanca City Court.
Spencer was transferred to the custody of the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office, while Terwilliger was transferred to the Olean Police Department.
Police also arrested Angelo Contreraz, 30, of Salamanca, on an arrest warrant for attempted petit larceny and trespass related to a previous incident in the city.
Contreraz was processed and given an appearance ticket for Salamanca City Court.
Bradley Cunningham, 29, of Olean, was taken into custody on two bench warrants from Salamanca City Court.
His arrest followed an interaction with Cuba police.
Cunningham was processed, arraigned, and later remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail.
