CORINTH — The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office arrested two people on drug charges after a traffic stop in the village of Corinth early Monday morning.
Deputies stopped a vehicle at 1:45 a.m. on Center Street for having no plate lamps and a loud exhaust.
During the investigation, deputies arrested Adam M. French, 31, and Jennifer A. Branchcomb, 32, both of Corinth, on charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree, a class D felony, and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a class A misdemeanor.
French and Branchcomb are accused of knowingly and unlawfully possessing a narcotic preparation with an aggregate weight of one-eighth ounce or more.
French was also charged with having an inadequate muffler, an infraction.
Both were arraigned before Corinth Town Court Judge Michael T. Woodcock.
French was remanded to the Saratoga County Jail, while Branchcomb was released on her own recognizance pending further proceedings.
