BOSTON — Detectives with the Boston Police Department recovered 1.5 kilos of crack cocaine, 30 pounds of marijuana, a high-capacity feeding device, ammunition, and approximately $16,270 in cash while executing a search warrant at 66 Dabney St. on Monday night.

The search at about 10:37 p.m. followed the arrest of two men accused of breaking into the residence the night before.

At about 10 p.m. Sunday, officers responded to a call reporting a break-in at the address.

Upon arrival, officers observed two individuals wearing masks and carrying a black duffle bag in the side yard of 98 Dabney St.

When officers approached, the suspects ran.

Following a foot chase, officers apprehended one suspect near 14 Circuit St. and the second near 61 Walnut Ave.

During a search of the area, officers located a person suffering from a gunshot wound on a staircase next to 98 Dabney St.

The victim was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and remained under police guard.

Officers reviewed surveillance footage, which showed three individuals kicking in the door of the Dabney Street residence.

A discarded Glock magazine capable of holding 30 rounds was recovered in front of the building.

The detained suspects were identified as Daquan Flowers, 24, of Boston, and Don’Quell Mayes, 23, of Stoughton.

Both were charged with breaking and entering at night for a felony.

Mayes also faces drug possession charges after officers recovered paper folds containing heroin and crack cocaine.

Both suspects are scheduled to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
