PROVIDENCE — Troopers arrested four men on various charges, including drug possession and driving under the influence, following motor vehicle stops in Providence and Pawtucket late Monday night and early Tuesday morning, according to Rhode Island State Police.
At 9:23 p.m. Monday, troopers arrested Jimmy Johnson, 41, of Providence, on an active Superior Court full bench warrant for failure to appear for determination of attorney on an original charge of possession of a Schedule I to V controlled substance.
Johnson’s arrest followed a motor vehicle stop on Charles Street in Providence. He was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and transported to the Adult Correctional Institutions Men’s Intake Center.
At 10:31 p.m. Monday, troopers arrested Eduardo Garcia, 54, of Providence, on charges of driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor with blood alcohol content unknown and refusal to submit to a chemical test.
Garcia was stopped on Route 146 in Providence. He was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned, and released into the custody of a responsible adult.
At 12:26 a.m. Tuesday, troopers arrested Johann Quezada, 20, of Woonsocket, on charges of possession of a Schedule I to V controlled substance under 10 grams (lorazepam) and possession of marijuana over two ounces.
Quezada’s arrest resulted from a traffic stop on Route 95 in Pawtucket. He was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and held overnight pending morning arraignment as a bail violator in Sixth Division District Court.
At 1:18 a.m. Tuesday, troopers arrested Luis Rodriguez, 35, of Manville, on a reciprocal body attachment warrant for a non-criminal charge.
Rodriguez was stopped on Lonsdale Avenue in Pawtucket. He was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and transported to the Adult Correctional Institutions Men’s Intake Center.
