East Hampton police issue summonses in cyberbullying case, cite driver in school bus crash

EAST HAMPTON — After an investigation into a cyberbullying incident, police issued summonses to two juveniles on Feb. 21.

A 14-year-old girl was charged with second-degree harassment.

A 15-year-old girl was charged with second-degree threatening and second-degree harassment.

In a separate incident the same day, James Peay, 66, of 228 Geer Rd., Lebanon, was issued a ticket for failure to drive right following a crash involving a car and a school bus.

No injuries were reported.

An arrest or infraction does not indicate a conviction. All individuals listed are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
