AUSABLE — State Police arrested Ziena M. Gagnier, 28, of Keeseville on Feb. 21 for filing a false written statement.
At approximately 2:39 p.m., State Police responded to Route 9 in the town of Ausable following a report of a sexual assault.
The investigation revealed that Gagnier had fabricated a claim about being sexually assaulted by a male.
Authorities determined the allegation was untrue and did not occur.
Gagnier was arrested and taken to SP Plattsburgh for processing.
She was released on an appearance ticket, which is returnable to the Town of Ausable Court for a scheduled date in March.
