NEWPORT CENTER — A $1 million winning Powerball ticket sold at Glover’s Family Market and Deli in Newport Center remains unclaimed two days after Saturday’s drawing, Vermont Lottery officials said Monday.

The ticket matched five numbers in the February 22 draw but not the Powerball number, resulting in the second-tier prize.

Winners must claim their prize at the Vermont Lottery administrative office in Berlin with a signed ticket, completed claim form and valid identification.

Powerball drawings occur every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m., with ticket sales closing at 9:50 p.m. on drawing nights. Each $2 play requires selecting five numbers from 1 to 69 and one Powerball number from 1 to 26.
