Boston police arrest ride share driver in alleged South Boston sexual assault

BOSTON — Boston police officers arrested a ride share driver Sunday in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a passenger in South Boston.

Hermann Ngoufack Jiokeng, 39, was taken into custody at his Brighton residence and charged with rape, police said.

The incident occurred around 11:45 p.m. Saturday when the victim took a ride share from a location in South Boston to her residence, according to police.

During the ride, Jiokeng allegedly sexually assaulted the victim.

Jiokeng is expected to be arraigned in South Boston District Court.
