BRISTOL — During the evening hours of Feb. 20, members of the Bristol Police Department’s Crime Suppression Unit witnessed occupants in a vehicle make what they believed to be multiple hand-to-hand drug transactions.
Officers stopped the car and spoke to the driver, Tyrell Teague of Bristol.
A search of the car led to the discovery of 223 bags of fentanyl, 7 grams of powder fentanyl, and 16 grams of crack cocaine.
Officers also seized more than $4,300 in cash.
While searching Teague, officers found a 9 mm handgun and ammunition.
Teague was arrested and charged with possession of narcotics with intent to sell, carrying a pistol without a permit, possession of weapons in a motor vehicle, and traveling unreasonably fast.
Teague is scheduled to appear in New Britain Court in March.
