BRATTLEBORO — Two Hartford, Conn., residents were arrested Thursday following a months-long drug investigation at 50 Central St. in Brattleboro, according to authorities.
The Vermont State Police Drug Task Force, Brattleboro Police Department, and Brattleboro Probation & Parole Office took Rondale Mapp, 38, and Rayteisha Hernandez, 30, into custody on allegations of selling fentanyl and cocaine.
Investigators said confidential informants purchased fentanyl and cocaine from Mapp on four occasions and from Hernandez on three occasions.
Hernandez was allegedly found in possession of a glassine bag of fentanyl transported from outside Vermont at the time of her arrest.
Both Mapp and Hernandez were processed at the Brattleboro Police Department and then transported to the Southern State Correctional Facility in Springfield.
Mapp’s bail was set at $50,000.
He was also on probation in Vermont for a prior narcotics-sales conviction and was charged with violating probation, authorities said.
Hernandez’s bail was set at $25,000 on charges of drug sales and possession.
Both defendants are scheduled to appear at 12:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21, in the Criminal Division of Vermont Superior Court in Brattleboro.
The affidavits of probable cause will be made public following the suspects’ arraignment.
