ST. ALBANS — Members of the St. Albans Police Department, along with multiple agencies, executed two court-ordered search warrants early Thursday.
The warrants were carried out at 6 Cedar Street and 80 South Main Street Unit #4 at approximately 2 a.m. on Feb. 20.
The searches were part of an ongoing drug investigation conducted by the St. Albans Police Street Crimes Unit.
At 80 South Main Street, officers arrested 41-year-old John Lapan of St. Albans and 43-year-old Sherman Baker of Arverne, New York.
A 43-year-old woman from New York was also identified at the scene.
Authorities seized crack cocaine, several long guns, and handguns during the search.
Lapan and Baker were charged with possession of crack cocaine and are scheduled to appear in Franklin District Court at a later date.
At 6 Cedar Street, officers identified 39-year-old Barbara Lykens of St. Albans, a 39-year-old man from St. Albans, and two juveniles.
Crack cocaine was seized during the search.
Lykens was charged with possession of a regulated drug and is scheduled to appear in Franklin District Court.
Additional charges are possible in both cases.
No injuries were reported during the execution of the warrants.
