RI State Police report multiple arrests over 24-hour period

LINCOLN — At 8:59 a.m., troopers arrested Terrell Cardoza, 19, of 767 Independence Drive, Hyannis, Massachusetts, for possession of marijuana – over two ounces.

The arrest followed troopers assisting Massachusetts State Police and a subsequent motor vehicle stop on Route 195 in East Providence.

Cardoza was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and transported to Sixth Division District Court for arraignment.

At 1:00 p.m., troopers arrested Cordero Jeremy, 27, of 64 Adelaide Avenue, Providence, on an affidavit and arrest warrant for throwing articles at moving vehicles.

The arrest resulted from a barracks investigation and Jeremy turning himself in.

He was processed and transported to Sixth Division Court for afternoon arraignment.

At 2:23 p.m., troopers arrested Nelson Furtado, 49, of 292 Logee Street, Woonsocket, for leaving the scene of an accident involving damage to an attended vehicle, driving without the owner’s consent, and obstructing an officer in the execution of duty.

The arrest followed a motor vehicle accident investigation and troopers locating Furtado on Hill Farm Lane in Lincoln.

He was processed, arraigned as a violator, and transported to the Adult Correctional Institution-Men’s Intake Center.

At 5:20 p.m., troopers arrested Angel Acosta Upia, 23, of 68 Hathaway Street, Providence, for driving with a suspended license – fourth or subsequent offense – and obstructing an officer in the execution of duty.

The arrest followed a motor vehicle accident investigation.

Upia was processed, arraigned by a justice of the peace, and released pending a future Sixth Division Court date.

At 10:37 p.m., troopers arrested George Bushromero, 36, of 260 Lonsdale Avenue, Pawtucket, for possession of a Schedule I-V controlled substance – 10 grams or less (cocaine).

The arrest followed a motor vehicle stop on Prospect Street in Pawtucket.

Bushromero was processed and held overnight pending arraignment in Sixth Division District Court.

At 2:20 a.m., troopers arrested Anthony Zambarano, 26, of 346 Fruit Hill Avenue, North Providence, for driving under the influence of liquor – BAC .10-.15 (Phase I: .117% & Phase II: .112%).

The arrest followed a motor vehicle stop on Route 6 in Providence.

Zambarano was processed, arraigned by a justice of the peace, and released pending a future Sixth Division District Court date.
