Man arrested for RISP for casino gaming violation, others face child pornography and drug charges

PROVIDENCE — On Feb. 17, members of the Gaming Enforcement Unit arrested Michael D. Pardi, 44, of Saugus, Massachusetts, for violation of casino gaming laws.

Pardi was processed at the Lincoln Barracks and transported to Third Division District Court for arraignment.

On Feb. 18, members of the Computer Crimes Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested Jeffrey A. Grenier, 69, of Woonsocket, Rhode Island, for possession of child pornography.

Grenier was transported to the Lincoln Barracks, processed, and transported to Sixth District Court for arraignment.

The Honorable Associate Judge Capraro set bail at $15,000 with surety, with special bail conditions of restricted internet access and no unsupervised contact with minors.

On Feb. 19, members of the Computer Crimes Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested Michael Scullin, 59, of Providence, Rhode Island, for possession of child pornography.

Scullin was transported to the Lincoln Barracks, processed, and transported to Sixth District Court for arraignment.

The Honorable Associate Judge Capraro set bail at $10,000 personal recognizance, with special bail conditions of restricted internet access and no unsupervised contact with minors.

On Feb. 19, members of the HIDTA Task Force arrested Enrique Garcia, 53, of Providence, Rhode Island, for possession of a firearm by certain persons prohibited, possession of a firearm while committing a controlled substance violation, possession with intent to deliver 1 oz – 1 kilogram of a Schedule II controlled substance – fentanyl, possession with intent to deliver a Schedule II controlled substance – fentanyl, and delivery of a Schedule IV controlled substance – Xanax.

Garcia was transported to the Lincoln Barracks for processing, special arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and turned over to the ACI Intake Center pending his morning arraignment in Sixth Division District Court.

On Feb. 19, members of the Intelligence, Major Crimes, Special Victims, Auto Theft and Insurance Fraud Units and the Uniform Bureau arrested Julian Contreras, 32, of North Providence, Rhode Island, for manufacturing, delivery, possession with intent to deliver more than 1 kilogram of fentanyl, manufacturing, delivery, possession with intent to deliver 1 oz to 1 kilogram of cocaine, possession of a Schedule I-V controlled substance, controlled substance conspiracy, resisting arrest, and conspiracy to commit an offense outside of the state.

Contreras was transported to Rhode Island Hospital, where he was arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and held without bail.

On Feb. 19, members of the Intelligence, Major Crimes, Special Victims, Auto Theft and Insurance Fraud Units and the Uniform Bureau arrested Luis Santiago Camacho, 29, of North Providence, Rhode Island, for manufacturing, delivery, possession with intent to deliver more than 1 kilogram of fentanyl, manufacturing, delivery, possession with intent to deliver 1 oz to 1 kilogram of cocaine, possession of a Schedule I-V controlled substance, controlled substance conspiracy, and resisting arrest.

Camacho was arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and held without bail.
