BRUNSWICK — State Police in Brunswick, with the assistance of the Troop G Violent Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team (VGNET) and the East Greenbush Police Department, arrested eight individuals on Jan. 30 in connection with a prostitution investigation.
Each was charged with one count of promoting prostitution in the fourth degree.
The individuals arrested were:
– Corina B. Brown, 29, of Cairo
– Ciera I. Green, 26, of Albany
– Camila K. Jones Austin, 27, of Tukwila, Wash.
– Kate N. Kwofie, 23, of Troy
– Renee J. Mckay, 33, of Albany
– Madelyn K. Michael, 24, of Puyallup, Wash.
– Sulieka Rodriguez Hernandez, 22, of Paterson, N.J.
– Sylvia D. Stinson, 26, of Schenectady
Stinson was also charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.
Authorities allege the individuals offered to engage in sexual conduct with another person in exchange for a fee in East Greenbush.
While being taken into custody, Stinson was found to possess a controlled substance, police said.
All eight individuals were processed at State Police Brunswick and were issued appearance tickets for East Greenbush Town Court on a later date before being released.
