CONCORD — Early this morning, members of the U.S. Marshals Service, District of New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force, and local police departments arrested a suspected weapons thief on Bunker Hill Road in Hill.

Justin Travis, 43, was taken into custody on a warrant from the 6th District Court in Concord for burglary at night and theft of firearms.

Authorities said the charges stem from a 2024 theft of firearms from a Canterbury home.

Travis was also arrested on a Grafton County Superior Court warrant for failure to appear.

Officials said the original charges included forced entry, burglary, and possession of a firearm by a felon.

Travis was transported to Merrimack County Department of Corrections and is scheduled for a bail hearing on Tuesday at 9 a.m.

Authorities later developed information leading to the arrests of Michael Rand, 39, and Abdul Rodriguez, 48, in the Seacoast area.

Rand was wanted for violating federal supervised release conditions related to a 2022 fentanyl distribution conviction.

Officials said Rand was spotted leaving a hotel in western Portsmouth and was arrested during a traffic stop on the Spaulding Turnpike.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.

Rodriguez was located at a residence on Mill Street in Rochester.

As officers approached, he attempted to flee through a rear window but then retreated to the basement before surrendering.

Rodriguez was taken to Strafford County Department of Corrections for a state parole warrant.

His criminal history includes firearms violations, drug distribution, resisting arrest, and falsification of reports.

The U.S. Marshals New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force was established in 2002 and coordinates efforts to apprehend fugitives across the state.
