ALEXANDER — On Feb. 16 at 12:00 p.m., troopers from Batavia responded to a two-vehicle collision on State Route 98 in the town of Alexander.
A 2016 Buick Encore was traveling northeast, and a 2021 Jeep Cherokee was traveling southwest on State Route 98.
The operator of the Buick, Anya R. Rambuski, 54, of Batavia, lost control and crossed into the southwest lane, striking the Jeep.
Rambuski was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The operator and passenger of the Jeep sustained minor injuries.
Rambuski was transported to the Monroe County Medical Examiner’s Office pending an autopsy.
The New York State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit and Bureau of Criminal Investigation assisted in the investigation.
