SOUTH WINDSOR — A Manchester woman was arrested Friday night following a domestic violence incident that involved a child.

South Windsor police responded to a report of a disturbance at Nomads, located at 100 Bidwell Road, at 10:58 p.m. on Feb. 14.

Officers determined that Ambar F. Romero, 23, had been involved in a verbal argument that escalated while in a vehicle.

Police said Romero punched the victim in the face in the presence of a child, violating an active protective order.

Romero was charged with risk of injury to a child, disorderly conduct, and violation of a protective order.

She was taken into custody, processed, and released on a $7,500 non-surety bond.

Romero is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on Tuesday at 9 a.m.
