BRISTOL — A two-vehicle crash occurred at the intersection of VT Route 116S and Hewitt Road on Feb. 15 at approximately 3:13 p.m.

According to authorities, a 2022 RAM truck, operated by Michael Lacross, 42, of Middlebury, was traveling south on VT Route 116S.

A 2022 Subaru Crosstrek, operated by Analise Wood, 17, of Hinesburg, was traveling north on the same road.

Investigators determined that Lacross turned left onto Hewitt Road without yielding, resulting in the front end of Wood’s vehicle striking the passenger’s side of Lacross’s truck.

Both vehicles came to uncontrolled rest following the collision.

Lacross, who was wearing a seat belt, sustained suspected minor injuries and was transported to Porter Medical Center by ambulance.

Wood, also wearing a seat belt, was uninjured.

The Subaru Crosstrek was totaled, while the RAM truck sustained passenger’s-side contact damage.

Troopers were assisted on scene by the Bristol Police Department, Bristol Fire Department, and Bristol Rescue Squad.

Lacross was cited for violating 23 VSA 1047(a), “Vehicles turning left,” which carries a $220 fine and 2 points.

The road conditions were dry, and the weather was cloudy at the time of the crash.
