SALAMANCA — A 31-year-old Salamanca man was arrested Feb. 12 on multiple drug-related charges following a complaint of erratic behavior.
Eric Harrison was taken into custody for public appearance under the influence of narcotics/drugs after a concerned citizen reported a man acting erratically and entering their porch.
During the investigation, police found Harrison in possession of drug paraphernalia and materials used in the manufacturing of methamphetamines.
Harrison was charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell in the fifth degree, felony criminal possession of precursors of methamphetamine, felony unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine in the third degree, felony introduction of dangerous contraband into prison/jail, and multiple counts of criminal possession of drug paraphernalia in the second degree.
He was processed and held pending arraignment in Salamanca City Court.
In a separate incident on Feb. 13, a 21-year-old motorist from Buffalo was issued traffic citations for failure to stop at a stop sign and operating a motor vehicle without a license following a traffic stop on East State Street.
The driver is scheduled to appear in Salamanca City Court at a later date.
On Feb. 14, Rodney Shoup, 28, of Salamanca, was arrested for disorderly conduct and public lewdness after police responded to a domestic incident.
Shoup was additionally charged with criminal contempt for disobeying a mandate in the second degree, criminal mischief in the fourth degree, felony aggravated family offense, obstructing governmental administration in the second degree, and resisting arrest.
He was processed and held pending arraignment in Salamanca City Court.
On Feb. 15, Jayme Otero, 48, of Salamanca, was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the third degree and issued citations for operating an unregistered and uninspected motor vehicle, as well as inadequate headlamps, following a traffic stop.
Otero was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Salamanca City Court at a later date.
All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
