WARWICK — Troopers arrested a Florida man on a weapons charge following a motorbike stop in West Warwick on Friday night.
Nicholas A. Arena, 31, of Cape Coral, Florida, was taken into custody at 10:11 p.m. on February 14 for Weapons Other than Firearms Prohibited.
The arrest occurred after a stop on Church Street.
Arena was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, processed, and held as a probation violator.
He is pending morning arraignment by a Justice of the Peace.
In a separate incident early Saturday, troopers arrested a North Carolina woman on drug charges following a motor vehicle stop in West Greenwich.
Elainie I. Stone, 33, of Southport, North Carolina, was arrested at 1:31 a.m. on February 15.
She faces charges of Possession of a Schedule I-V Controlled Substance less than 10 Grams (Cocaine), Possession of a Schedule I-V Controlled Substance less than 10 Grams (Crack Cocaine), and Possession of a Schedule I-V Controlled Substance less than 10 Grams (Fentanyl).
The arrest occurred after a stop on Hopkins Hill Road.
Stone was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, processed, and arraigned by a Justice of the Peace.
She was released pending a future Third Division District Court date.
