FAIR HAVEN — A Poultney woman was arrested earlier this month after allegedly fleeing the scene of a motor vehicle crash.

Fair Haven police responded to a reported crash on South Main Street at 5:50 p.m. on Feb. 5.

Officers found that a vehicle had struck a home before leaving the scene.

Through investigation, police determined that Halee M. Reed, 23, of Poultney, had allegedly attempted to pass another vehicle but struck it in the process.

Reed then lost control of her vehicle and hit a house, causing extensive damage, before fleeing the scene, police said.

Officers later located Reed and the vehicle in Poultney.

During an interview, Reed admitted to her involvement in the incident, according to police.

Reed was arrested and issued a citation to appear in Rutland District Court to answer charges of leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash and negligent operation.
