SOUTH WINDSOR — On Tuesday at 10:44 a.m., South Windsor Police Department arrested Caple C. Nichols, 53, of Windsor.

Nichols was the operator of a motor vehicle stopped by SWPD on Buckland Road for having a license plate displayed that did not match the car it was on.

During the course of the investigation, Nichols provided officers with an alternate name and date of birth in an attempt to hide his true identity due to the fact he had two active arrest warrants for failure to appear in court.

Nichols was taken into custody and processed and held on a total surety bond of $32,500.

He is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court this morning at 9 a.m.
