Waterbury man arrested after stolen vehicle found during patrol

WATERBURY — On Feb. 4, at approximately 8:30 p.m., officers from the Waterbury Police Department were conducting proactive patrols in the area of Wolcott Street and Lakewood Road.

During the patrol, officers observed a 2024 Subaru Legacy that had been reported stolen from New Britain.

Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and identified the driver as David Watson, 28, of Watertown.

Watson was arrested and charged with larceny of a motor vehicle (1st offense).

The Waterbury Police Department emphasized its commitment to addressing auto theft-related crimes and ensuring community safety.
