Two injured in two-vehicle crash on Rt 100 in Waitsfield

WAITSFIELD — A two-vehicle crash occurred on Rt 100 near Meadows Road on Jan. 30 at approximately 5:02 p.m.

Vermont State Police responded to the scene.

Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2024 Toyota Rav 4, operated by Susan Burbank, 60, of Waitsfield, pulled out from a side street attempting to go south on Rt 100.

A 2006 Toyota Rav 4, operated by Matthew May, 39, of Waterbury, was traveling north on Rt 100 and was unable to avoid the collision.

The vehicles collided in the front corners of each other.

Burbank, who was wearing a seat belt, sustained minor injuries and was transported to Central Vermont Medical Center.

May, who was not wearing a seat belt, also sustained minor injuries and was transported to the University of Vermont Medical Center.

The crash remains under investigation.
