NEEDHAM — On Jan. 28 at approximately 9:57 p.m., Dispatch received a call of a stabbing at a Parkinson Street residence.
Upon investigation, it was determined that no disturbance had occurred.
The call dispatch had received was a false report commonly referred to as a Swatting call.
The incident was documented.
On Jan. 30 at approximately 9:20 p.m., an Officer observed a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Dedham Ave and Lincoln Street.
After an investigation, a 58-year-old Needham resident was issued a citation and will be summoned to Dedham District Court for negligent operation of a motor vehicle, marked lanes violation and using an electronic device while driving.
On Jan. 31 at approximately 8:42 p.m., an Officer responded to the Needham Heights train station for vandalism.
The incident was documented, and the matter was forwarded to the MBTA.
On Jan. 31 at approximately 10:09 a.m., an Officer met with a Helen Road resident regarding fraudulent activity.
The reporting party stated that someone had filed false tax forms on their behalf with a college that they had never attended.
The matter was documented with a police report and the party was advised of the necessary steps to take going forward.
On Jan. 31 at approximately 1:30 p.m., a Cabot St business reported fraudulent behavior by one of the clients.
The incidents related to the fraud are under investigation.
On Jan. 31 at approximately 4:45 p.m., an Officer took a walk-in report from a Hawthorn Ave resident regarding a dog bite he suffered while at home.
A report was filed and was passed on to the Animal Control Officer.
On Jan. 31 at approximately 11:00 p.m., Officers responded to a Capt. Robert Cook Dr address for a report of missing property.
The incident was documented.
On Feb. 2 at approximately 11:00 a.m., a 2nd Ave resident came into the lobby to report a package theft that occurred in December of 2024.
On Feb. 2 at approximately 8:15 a.m., an Officer responded to a Rolling Ln address to assist NFD with a water problem.
NFD addressed the exigency and notified other town agencies to respond.
