BENNINGTON — Vermont State Police have arrested 35-year-old Joshua D.
McQueen of Mendon on charges of sexual assault and aggravated domestic assault, authorities said.
The arrest came as a result of a separate investigation in which the Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) discovered information suggesting there may be an additional victim.
Upon further inquiry, officials determined that McQueen had committed sexual assault and aggravated domestic assault against an adult female.
The alleged crimes occurred in Bennington, with police declining to specify the exact dates within the time frame.
In accordance with privacy policies and to protect the identity of survivors, the Vermont State Police have not released the name of the female victim.
McQueen is currently being held in custody.
The investigation remains ongoing as authorities continue to delve into the details of the case.
