SANDGATE — Investigators have determined that a fatal fire in Sandgate on Jan. 1 was accidental, though the exact cause and origin remain undetermined.
The blaze occurred around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday on Chunks Brook Road.
Officials from the Fire and Explosion Investigation Unit concluded their probe into the incident but were unable to pinpoint how the fire started.
The Vermont Chief Medical Examiner’s Office has not yet released the cause and manner of death for the victims, stating that further investigation is required.
