MONTGOMERY — A routine traffic stop led to the arrest of a Montgomery man on an active warrant and driving with a criminally suspended license, Vermont State Police said.

Jason Stanhope, 49, was pulled over by troopers from the St. Albans Barracks on N Main St at about 9:15 p.m. on Jan. 31 after committing a motor vehicle violation.

The subsequent investigation revealed that Stanhope was driving on a suspended Vermont driver’s license and had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.

Stanhope was issued a flash citation to appear in court on Feb. 3 at 1 p.m. for the warrant and on March 17 at 10 a.m. for the driving with a suspended license (DLS) charge.

The warrant included charges under 23 VSA 674(a)(1) for misdemeanor vehicle operation with a suspended license.
