MONKTON — Vermont State Police arrested a 37-year-old woman on a slew of charges, including DUI and possession of cocaine, after responding to a report of a stolen vehicle on Hollow Road at 7:16 p.m. on Jan. 31.
Sara A. Whritenour was found by troopers hiding in an unoccupied vehicle near where the stolen vehicle had been driven off the roadway.
Whritenour, whose license was criminally suspended, was also required to operate vehicles with an ignition interlock device, which was not installed in the vehicle she was accused of stealing.
Troopers noted signs of impairment when interacting with Whritenour.
She was arrested for aggravated operation without owner’s consent, DUI – her second offense, leaving the scene of an accident, possession of cocaine, driving with a criminally suspended license, violation of ignition interlock restrictions, and unlawful trespass.
Following her arrest and the discovery of cocaine, Whritenour was released with a citation.
She is scheduled to appear in Addison County Superior Court, Criminal Division, on April 7.
